El Puente is a collective that supports alternative economic projects and cooperatives in Aby Ayala, by creating spaces to sell material goods, and opportunities to exchange ideas, information and inspiration. We are committed to collaborating with individuals and organized groups who are working towards the betterment of our communities in a just and dignified way. El Puente was created after several years of work with both Zapatista and EZ supporter cooperatives in Chiapas. This project is inspired by the traditional ways of trade developed by our people. We understand the need to be laborers in the creation and reconstruction of a truly just society. A just economy starts with us thinking and working autonomously, and not relaying on an unjust system to create the solutions. El Puente, Hacia La Esperanza, is the possibility for globalizing a just economy one step, one community, one person at a time.
