I seriously just woke up from a dream in which I was at some kind of fundraiser in this giant auditorium (at a church?) and all these bands were playing. Part of the "festivities" were for people in the bands to write down these like, dares and then they were randomly passed out to the audience. I got a dare written by El Rick Haun and it said that before your song called 'Wist Up', I had to come on stage and demand to see the asparagus (Skylar was in an asparagus suit) and then imitate pooping on an amp. Oh yeah, and I had to announce that I had been watching the show from the basement of the Communist Headquarters in Mao-Ching China. um, wtf guys? Next time you highjack my dreams could you not involve simulating pooping in front of a crowded auditorium. It's really embarrassing.
"The Carter Family and Black Lips somehow channeled through three lovely, badass chicks from Tennessee." -Juan Pieczanski, Juan's Basement (Pitchfork TV)
"Those Darlins - Murfreesboro's best band by a rather large stretch - encompass all that's good about old timey folk & roll without the unfortunate pitfalls of their more humorless, slavishly reverent, less adventurous contemporaries. Harry Smith woulda shit his pants." -Wooden Wand/James Toth
