BIO
After playing in separate bands growing up, Matt and Chuck decided it was time to put their brotherly differences aside and come together to make music. Doing so was undoubtedly a wise decision. After a few stints with different guitar players, the Garcias came into contact with Freddy through a local publication, but again things were put on hold when their drummer had to leave the band for personal reasons.
Now, the band is at full steam ahead creating a bigger following through their energetic shows and raw recordings. Together the band has developed a unique sound melding everything from Rock and Reggae to Punk and grunge to create a sound that hits like a freight train. Focusing on nothing but the music, The Sons of Sancho are determined to fill their music with heart, feeling, and a true message that the majority of music today seems to lack; turning the attention of music back to the ears of fans and not the eyes.
The Sons of Sancho perform originals that contain lyrics that are smart and a sound that is polished, yet funky and raw at the same time. Their songs can be heard and requested on KSYM 90.1 San Antonio. They have also been featured on the Fox 29 “News First” morning show, Austin's radio station KUT having the Song of the Week, and have played events such as the very first San Antonio Indie Fest, and the KSYM 90.1 FM Cool em’ off & Feed em’ Fest, a fundraiser for the homeless community of San Antonio.
