El Sie7e have been a unit for more than seven years, and Punto Cero (.0) being just their second album set up a new era in Colombian rock history and Latin America. This is the work of a band more mature that approaches their eighth year in the music scene as a cutting-edge rock group. The full El Sie7e history, of course, goes back to 2000 and embraces the desire of 4 Colombians who start to put up their act together in early 2001 in Bogotá.
In 2003 after touring Colombia and Ecuador, the band is included in the “EXHIMUS 2003” compilation album from Museo Nacional. Their 2004 debut album titled “Quienes Somos” (Who we are) produced by Alex Fredjud (Sexy Death) and mixed by Dilson Dias from the Colombian rock icon band “La Pestilencia”, earns the recognition of the Colombian radio and the single “Sin Salida” video gets important air play in the south American music television network Via-X. It is on this year that El Sie7e performs for the first time in the renowned “Rock al Parque” - the biggest open-air rock festival in Latin America averaging 300.000 listeners. Consequently nominations for best rock group and best live act in the Shock magazine music awards and Much music awards for best rock video follow the band’s recognition. At that moment the time was right to move abroad and it is in 2005 when El Sie7e associated with Pachamama Culture from music entrepreneur Mauricio T. Lizarazo. This pairing proved to be something just right and the band toured for the first time in European soil playing in Germany main cities, Stockholm and Scandinavian rock city Bolnäs. Between Berlin and Stockholm the band is being signed by German’s independent record label Boto Kanela and filmed the video clip of their smash hit “No Lo Ves”. Pioneering a fusion-genre El Sie7e recorded the hit single Stayin’ Alive (Quedate Vivo!) together with German’s top Latin Hip-Hop group Culcha Candela, receiving the Shock music award nomination for Best Featuring in 2006. As the band returns from Europe their hit “No Lo Ves” peaked at 1 on main rock radio stations across the country staying unbeatable for 4 weeks in a row. El Sie7e is the only Colombian rock band to ever have reached 1 in the charts just after a concert tour abroad and without a current physical album yet to see the retail market light. On 2007 Kallpa Records released El Sie7e’s current album Punto Cero (.0) tutored by award winner producer Jorge “Pyngwi” Holguin. Punto Cero (.0) became watershed album, and one that challenged the complacency of the music industry and Colombian rock scene. Over the course of the past three years, El Sie7e established a reputation as the rock band point of reference of this fan’s generation.
The performances of El Sie7e in “Rock al Parque” open-air festival proofs once again that the band is Colombian unmistakably strongest rock act, with ferocity being the element that ties El Sie7e’s show upon the stage. The band’s first single of Punto Cero (.0), “No Lo Ves,” was followed by “En Pie”, “Tu Engaño” and “Ileso” all peaked rock radio charts featuring a sound that is at once huge, but also unique and tight. That seems to be one of El Sie7e’s benchmarks: their songs are filled with enough huge hooks to rock a stadium, but there is also a subtle magic to their sound can’t easily be charted.

muchachos muchachso que buen trabajo el que lleban hasta ahora a mi aprecer la mejor banda rock colombiana, pero muy a mi pesar y con miedo veo que como que pierden su escencia, no se si es pro el factor billetin o por ke de verdad quiere probar nuvas cosas. bn fin han hecho bn musika pero sigan asi muchos exitos

Las audición es serán a partir de las 4:00pm en 4 cuartos de Teusaquillo Cl. 36 # 16 - 23. REQUISITOS: El baterista tiene que tener instrumento y accesorios propios; (Platillos (Crash, Ride, HiHats, etc...), redoblante, baquetas, etc... Buena actitud y aptitud musical. Muchas ganas para hacer las cosas. Tiene que aprenderse tres temas, dos temas libres y Tu ángel es Demonio (174 NEGRA TEMPO EN EL METRÓNOMO) (obligatorio). Buen manejo de tempo (uso de metrónomo), ritmo y creatividad, sobre todo disponibilidad y ganas.
