El Soter is Blaž Erzetic's audio-visual brainchild. Erzetic introduced himself to the audience with Amateur God project (www.amateurgod.com) and three albums: one released in USA (Wampus Multimedia) and two in Germany (Black Rain). This, fourth album, is so different from the predecessors that it needed its own name.
Appletree of Discord is sociocritical sum of eleven songs, a melange of metal, electronica, symphonic elements and vintage rock, everything spiced up with right dose of irony.

Blaming the Moon was track of the day on www.garageband.com in
alternative metal:
- Like the techno feel. The vocals in the background that sound quite dreamy fit nicely. This is truly unique and I like it a lot. The dissonant guitar and all the key changes are cool.
- The strings just fill out the sound when they are fleshed out and subtle. Great counterpoint to the guitar riffs. Very dynamic.
- Scale modes & key sounds in the intro remind me of a horror movie soundtrack. Vocals are very atmospheric, too. Reminds me of Sonic Youth with more precision in the parts with vocals. Keyboard solo was very unique with more unusual scale modes.
The full length album will be available April 10 2008. It will
contain 47 minutes of heavy-rockin' stuff plus DVD with video The Hail.
