About Us
Founded in 1947, Eltman, Eltman and Cooper (EEC) is the leader in the credit and collections bar. EEC operates offices in New York and California, and manages a network of more than 50 law firms in 30 states.
The Eltman Way
The Eltman Way is our statement of how we strive to conduct ourselves every day:

The senior managers of the firm hold weekly meetings with every department to discuss these principles and how they apply to situations our employees faced that week. The firm believes that no set rules no matter how comprehensive can be effective without a solid foundation in core principles. The firm reviews the effectiveness of its senior managers in inculcating these principles as an essential part of their job performance.
Compliance and Ethics
The firm employs a senior attorney to monitor its compliance with all legal requirements. Building on the principles of The Eltman Way, this attorney supervises training the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) for all collection employees. This attorney also trains and instructs collectors on appropriate and professional conversations with debtors and monitors compliance and ethical matters.
Eltman is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Collection Attorneys (NARCA), and fully complies with its code of ethics.
