Union Jack Rocks!
.. Featuring the look and sounds of the 1960’s British Invasion era, UnionJack takes you back to the days of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Yardbirds, Hollies, Searchers and the many others that followed these great groups. A five-piece band, UnionJack is one of Western Mass and Northern CT’s original “tribute” bands. UnionJack performs in period stage outfits, using vintage instruments like those made famous by the Beatles. Gary Wilkinson’s lead vocals on classic Beatles’ tunes have always been the band’s strength, along with some great material and more than a little bit of humor. UnionJack follows the history of the British Invasion from the early days of “Beatlemania” through the end of the decade. In addition to those groups mentioned above UnionJack also features tunes by the Yardbirds, Badfinger, Dave Clark 5, and many others. The band can also perform an American set, featuring music from “American Artists” popular during the same period; Tommy James, Grass Roots, Credence Clearwater Revival, Rascals, and many others. UnionJack has had the pleasure over the years of being the opening act for: Bo Diddley, The Fifth Dimension, The Band, The Commodores, The Wilkinsons, Ritchie Havens, and many others. We have been featured at Foxwoods Casino (Atrium Lounge), Celebrate Holyoke, The Big E, Peach Festival, the Taste of West Springfield, 3 County Fair and many other local events. Please feel free to look us up at www.4unionjack.com. We would love to bring the UnionJack show to your event this year. -For Booking Information please call Dave @ 413-530-5832 or email the band at Unionjack@juno.com

Yeah, all's good minus a sinus infection that my family so kindly gave me...first a friend of mine and my mom got sick around the same time, then my younger sister, and now me. But I'm starting antibiotics so I should be better soon!
Hi Debbie it's been a VERY long time since we've talked. Was just wondering how you're going. I've been fine but very busy and haven't had the chance to sign on here as much as I'd like the past several months to keep in touch with friends. Carolyne
Hey Debbie, I hope you're doing well. Sorry I'm not on here much lately. I'm quite busy since my kids went back to school My son is a sr. and in marching band so I'm real busy with the band parents doing stuff. I can't believe 3 more football games left, unless we make it to the play offs. My daughter is in 8th gr. now, I can't believe that one either! I was very shocked to hear about Guy's sudden passing. I don't know if Elton and the boys are coming around my way or not. It's been a year since I saw him in Vegas. Well, you take care and I'm gonna try to be on here more. Karen
Pop star Elton John, 62, is looking to adopt after, he says, an orphan toddler named Lev stole his heart.
John and longtime partner David Furnish met the child while touring a Ukrainian orphanage, the Associated Press reports. "David always wanted to adopt a child and I always said 'no' because I am 62 and I think because of the traveling I do and the life I have, maybe it wouldn't be fair for the child," the music legend told AP.
"But having seen Lev today, I would love to adopt him. I don't know how we do that but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David's heart and it would be wonderful if we can have a home. I've changed my mind today."
John's longtime friend and keyboardist Guy Babylon passed away suddenly last week. He said of his friend, "It broke my heart because he was such a genius and so young and has two wonderful children. … What better opportunity to replace someone I lost than to replace him with someone I can give a future to?"
Though John and Furnish both have a desire to adopt the child, John is still uncertain as to whether it is possible, saying, "I don't know what the procedure is to adopt a boy from the Ukraine. I don't think I can because England doesn't have a treaty with the Ukraine.&qu
