There are too many for mere words, but there are some few that I consider to be superlative examples of literature. These include, but are not limited to The Lord of the Rings, Beowulf, The Silmarillion, Dune, the Foundation series, the Iliad & the Odyssey, Crime and Punishment.

I am not particularly into heroism and its various components. There are merely people I admire and am interested in because of their intellectual, social, artistic or historical/political contributions to the world.

Who I'd like to meet: Having met Richard Dawkins, Alister McGrath, Karen Armstrong, Philip Pullman, Ian Shaw, Tom Pink and Christopher Jameson, while in Oxford, I am somewhat sated in this regard. There are of course still many others however.
