Flogging Molly, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Refreshments, Simon and Garfunkel, Indigo Girls, Coheed and Cambria (Thanks Nos & Marrec!), Krishna Das, Meatloaf, Erasure anything 80's, anything that rocks
Movies
Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Serenity, The Last Unicorn, Princess Mononoke, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Star Trek movies, Sense and Sensibility, The Matrix Trilogy, Love Actually, Sin City, 300
Television
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, and Angel (Joss Whedon!), Carnivale (all of the above mentioned have been cancelled, showing the general bad taste of those who decide these things). Currently I watch House, Survivorman (much better than Survivor), Dirty Jobs, Iron Chef (America and the original), Pushing Daisies, Reaper, Chuck, Lost and anything on Discovery and History channels, some sci-fi, though since Firefly, I just can't really enjoy anything else, it all seems pale and cheesy in comparison, except for of course, Star Trek, which I still watch reruns of (and all it's various incarnations). Sadly, I'm currently addicted to So You Think You Can Dance. I know, but it's my guilty pleasure and better than figure skating.
Books
Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, Song of Fire and Ice by George RR Martin, Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind (I'm sticking to it, though many have deserted it), The Chronicles of Narnia, Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Novels by Laurell K. Hamilton, The Wayfarer Redemption (Thanks Jason!), and of course, the Lord of the Rings. This is just a list of my faves. Recently, I read The Darkness that Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker. Very weird and philosophical, but worth the read and a very intriguing story.
About me: Hmm....I like to believe I'm pretty normal to tell the truth, but then what the heck is normal anyway. I'm a pagan and I currently live in Hampton, VA. I am currently in the Navy but will be getting a medical discharge at the end of May, upon which we will be moving to Pittsburgh, PA. I love watching TV, but my favorites by far are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, and Angel. I wish Joss Whedon would quit making movies and come back to TV. I'm married to a great guy, got two neurotic dog and a couple of crazy cats. I have a dark, dry and sarcastic sense of humor that makes people shake their heads some of the time and laugh most of the time. I strive to be a cheerful person, but can come down with bouts of the blues, as can anyone. I enjoy reading a good fantasy novel (George R. R. Martin, and Robert Jordan especially). I'm addicted to skin care products but I don't wear a lick of makeup. I enjoy dark music with happy lyrics or happy music with dark lyrics. I'm a rock n roll chick. I like living oxymorons. I try to find beauty in everything. I try to be nice to everyone. That's about it.
If I deny your friend request, it's because I don't personally know you. If you use a funny name and don't have any clear pics, then I have no clue who you are and might deny your friend request, so if I do actually know you, please send me a message to remind me how I do know you. Also, I don't post or repost any chain mail or "If you were my real friend, you'll repost this or I will delete you." I'll only pass along legitimate warning stuff or funny stuff if it hasn't been around the block already. If you're on my friends list, then yes I do give a shite and do check on y'all. I am subscribed to just about everyone's blog, so I know immediately if you post a blog and I like keeping up with everybody's triumphs and pitfalls, if only to offer cheers or support.
