Steve Marcio was born and raised in the Chisago Lakes area, and now resides in Bethel, MN, with his wife Carol, and his three children, Tyler, Cassie, and Tommy. He has performed in many theater productions, and was lead vocals in a band for over ten years.
Steve placed 1st in the “Contest of the Kings” at the Mall of America in 2007. He was the winner of the 2005 “You be the Judge” Elvis contest at the Paramount Theater in Austin, MN. Steve has done many private parties, dinner shows, car shows, and has performed frequently with DC and the Drifters, a tribute to the legends band from southern Minnesota. Steve has been on KARE 11 Saturdays with Belinda Jensen, and will be featured on a segment of the “Out and About” show on channel 4 in February. In May 2006 he performed at the Minnesota Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame at the Medina Ballroom. This March, Steve performed at the Owens Theatre in Branson Missouri, and won 1st place in the “Ultimate Elvis Contest”. Steve and Tommy just returned from a Royal Caribbean cruise in which they performed several shows. They have been asked to cruise again next November.
Steve has been told on several occasions from people in the audience, that if they close their eyes they would think that Elvis himself was singing to them.
Steve is a family man, and his family participates in his shows, by running sound, lights, and promotion. His son, Tommy, also performs in many shows as the young Elvis. Tommy is 14 years old. In 2006, during a family vacation to Graceland, Steve and Tommy recorded a CD at Sun Studio in Memphis.
Steve has always admired and respected Elvis’ music, and shows this in his tribute to Elvis called “The Elvis Experience.
