Richie Santa is a singer living in New York. Ever since the age of eight when he first saw Elvis in a movie, the King has been Richie’s favorite singer. From that moment on anything that had the name Elvis attached to it Richie was interested in. Soon he had as many records as his parents could afford. Trying to sing and move like the king became an everyday occurrence. It was the influence of Elvis that has inspired Richie to pursue a career as an entertainer. Back in 1982 Richie went to visit Graceland for the first time and then again in 2001. After witnessing all Elvis had accomplished and seeing it in person it was clear that Elvis can never be matched by any other artist. In this day and age where the term superstar is used so frequently, Elvis truly was a super superstar. Being a professional singer for over twenty years Richie has sung many songs by many different artists, but no other artist gives him as much pleasure as singing songs by the King of Rock-n Roll.
Focusing on the Vegas years happens to be Richie’s favorite part of Elvis’s career. Being the same height and weight as Elvis in his prime makes “A TRIBUTE TO THE KING” tribute show a more realistic and believable experience. Then add the power of Richie’s voice along with his stage persona and the transformation is complete. Performances for former NYC police commissioner Howard Safir turned out to be an exciting evening. Richie also had the pleasure of performing for such companies as Avon at the St Regis Hotel in manhattan and for QVC at The Waldorf Astoria also located in manhattan. Richie captures the essence of this great artist with authentic costumes and all the accessories that one would expect when watching a tribute show. There will never be another Elvis Presley, so it is with great respect and appreciation as a fan that Richie portrays this man that has given the world so much
