Ely Bruna - 'REMEMBER THE TIME' OUT NOW!

Ely Bruna was born in Mexico, grew up in the US and then moved to Italy. She speaks fluently Spanish, English and Italian. Session vocalist for various Dance productions in the 90's, she's been performing a lot around the World and has taken part in many TV shows in Italy. She's also an author: she wrote for Mario Biondi on the albums 'Handful of soul' and 'I love you more', she co-wrote most of the songs on the Papik album 'Rhythm of life', together with her producer Nerio Poggi (aka Papik), including 'Staying for Good', the single from the album that's getting a great response worldwide. This is her first album under her own name and it's dedicated to remakes in a soul-jazz style of tunes from the 80's and 90's. Among the songs chosen: a bossa cover of 'Rhythm of the night' by Corona and an R&B version of 'Barbie Girl'. But the self-penned '1986' is the real gem on this album!


Ely Bruna nasce in Messico, e prima di trasferirsi in Italia, vive molti anni negli Stati Uniti. Parla fluentemente spagnolo, inglese e francese. Turnista per varie produzioni dance, ha cantato in molte parti d'Europa e ha preso parte a molte trasmissioni in Italia. E’ anche autrice: ha scritto per Mario Biondi nell’album “Handful of soul” e “I love you more”, ha scritto la maggior parte delle canzoni sull’album di Papik “Rhythm of life”, insieme al suo produttore Nerio Poggi (alias Papik) incluso “Staying for good”, il singolo che sta riscuotendo un successo internazionale. Questo è il suo primo album che porta il suo suo nome ed è dedicato a riarrangiamenti in chiave soul-jazz dei più celebri brani dance degli anni 80’ e 90’. Tra le canzoni che ha scelto: una versione bossa di “Rhythm of the night” di Corona e una versione R&B di “Barbie Girl” degli Aqua. Ma l’inedito “1986” è l’autentica gemma di questo album!
