A riveting performer, Elza captivates her audience with her mesmerizing voice and her soulful, often playful sound. Within the first five minutes of seeing her live youd swear you knew her your whole life. Her disarming combination of strength and vulnerability can be contributed to her unusual childhood and life experiences.Elzas father a German, abstract mathematician, insisted she learn to read music before learning to read words, and with that her love of music was born. She grew up back and forth between Germany and South Carolina and in SC picked up the soulful singing style of the low-country and at age 14 began playing guitar and writing songs. Elza currently tours, runs her own record label, enjoys surfing and speaks at High Schools to aspiring artists.
She kicked off her first west coast tour in front of an audience of 30,000 as a featured new artist at The Marin Music Festival opening for Bob Weir and closed her tour opening for Atlantic Recording Artist: Martin Sexton as well as an acoustic version of the band Train in New York. Her songs have been featured on the WB hit series Smallville, CBS's Clubhouse and several independent Films that are on the festival circuit today.
This year she made her Canadian debut at Torontos Winterfolk Festival, showcased at the national NACA convention, completed a sucessful US college tour, signed to a booking agency, was accepted to perform at the legendary Clearwater Music Festival in NY and won first place in the Broadjam ADS studio time contest. Elza shares, "It has been a very busy year and I am really looking forward to recording my next CD"

Hey Elza, What a great show the other night at The Living Room! My friends and I were very impressed, both with your main stage set, as well as the informal upstairs Googie's set. Hope to see you again soon. Best of luck with the twins!
Whats up? I found this site and thought i'd tell everyone, it shows you if anyone at school likes you. I dont know how it works but its really cool, it told me a couple different people who have crushes on me since gradeschool. You gotta try it!
Thanks for the add and congrats on the twins from a downtown NYC scene veteran... They will be the first miracle to equal the magic created by music. (My 17 mo. old, Lilah, is living proof!)
