About me: I am sometimes accused of being two things at once - Simple but complex. An open book, but still mysterious. I'm different things to different people - I'm a best friend, a sister and a daughter. A therapist, a listening ear, a drinking buddy, a shoulder to cry on, and sometimes even a dance partner (usually this happens after the drinking part). Sometimes I'm a poet, other times words completely escape me.
People are my priority. Nothing means more to me than those who allow me to share in their lives. I don't believe that anyone is a lost cause. But I do believe that sometimes you have to let people go before they can find their way back to you.
Somehow in love I always end back at the default setting - friendship. "Always the friend. Never the girlfriend." Maybe I give up too easily. Assume she's not interested. I get a lot of mixed signals and things become distorted. Then I get discouraged. Friends is easy. Safe. If things are gonna change, I need someone who will claim me when I put myself out there. Someone who won't be afraid to take control until I take the lead.
I have a knack for falling for damsels in distress. (however my best friend officially has permission to punch me in the face if I fall for this again. lol) I like to blame that tendency on what I call my "superhero complex." =) I believe in chivalry. Not because it's a time-honored tradition, but because I believe a woman should feel special. Cherished.
Some say I'm a wise old soul. Some say I'm too young to know any better. I am who I am. Ever changing and adapting. Neither here nor there. Living comfortably between the lines.
Who I'd like to meet: Someone loyal...someone who won't just run away from their problems and create bigger ones.
I pray you don't get lost, because I'm not going to find you. You will have to find your way back to me...I'm not going anywhere - that's loyalty.
