MySpace a place for friends

emanuele maniscalco began working regularly as a musician in 2001, playing drums with the best jazz musicians in his area. over the years he performed with some of the most remarkable musicians in the italian jazz scene like enrico rava, emanuele cisi, stefano bollani, ares tavolazzi, simone guiducci, gianluca petrella, francesco bearzatti, gaining recognition both in Italy and abroad. he played in france, germany, spain, switzerland, austria, poland, romania, united kingdom and japan. he also recorded a dozen cd’s as a sideman. in 2001 he met pianist and composer stefano battaglia, and started playing with him a couple of years later until today. the current group is called “out-vestigation” and features francesco bigoni and giulio corini. he’s now working on his own projects, playing both piano and drums. he’s also planning his first release as a leader of a quartet with dan kinzelman, paolo biasi and karsten lipp, containing some of his compositions and open improvisations.
