Bio:
Ember Coast is a melodic rock band based out of Tempe, AZ. The band formed in late 2000 is made up of ex-Overcome drummer Ethan Pajak, singer Sean Brennan, guitarist Nathan Hardy, and bassist/vocalist Jason Hardy.
With their unique, individual writing styles abilities, the band has made it's mark in the Arizona music scene, playing national shows with Ben Kwellar, Dashboard Confessional, Mae, and The Presidents of the U.S.A.
After just six months together, Ember Coast released their 1st self-produced, self funded full length in 2003. "From the Mood Room", helped the band fuel their already growing fan base with regular air play and constant local and regional shows. The albums hard hitting singles such as "Say Anything" and "Untied" caught the ear of local radio and the bands reputation as one of Arizona's most prominent bands continued to grow.
Following a national, self-funded tour in support of "From the Mood Room" the band returned back to the Valley to begin writing their sophmore release. Having written over 50 songs in the last yr. and a half, the band took on the task of choosing which songs fit the theme of the bands second full length.
In Feburuary/March of 2005 the band went back to their roots and joined engineer and friend, Larry Elyea @ Minds Eye Digital Studios for the construction of there sophmore release.
Fueled by the energy of the intense writing sessions and overall feel of the album, recording was done in just over 5 weeks. "Up" released indepently, April 2005, is the colabritive artistic work of four writers, musicians and friends. The album was released to rave reviews by press and fans, and shows the bands desire to continually create new, and innovative sounds.
Showcasing more instruments and eclectic sounds into their material, Ember Coast strives to make each and every song, show, and album, undeniable, classic, and timeless.

I think "Swamp Fox" is a cool title for something. It's the name of a street we drove past today in the back roads of Virginia. Swamp Fox. Sounds like a style of pooping or a crude sex act. "Dude, I totally got swamp foxed last night. It was narly!" Ya know?!
