The Ember*Ellas are Patika Starr & Christine Geiger. They represent a celebration of life through performance art, dance, and sisterhood. All you need is a pinch of cutesiness, a dash of lace & feathers and twist it with an edge of mischief & noir and there you have the spicy performance duo!
The Ember*Ellas performances include fire theatrics, dark cabaret, hoop dance, stilt walking/dancing/hooping, blacklight shows and caburlesque (their coined name referring to a fusion of cabaret, vaudeville & burlesque). Performances can be choreographed routines as well as roving or placed vignettes.
Their fire shows mesmerize audiences with a variety of acts including fans of fire, flaming hoops, poi spinning, fire costumes and fire eating. Each show is unique and can be created to fit any event. They are both fully insured for their performances.
The duet has performed along side musicians such as Filo & Perry, Huda Hudia, Evol Intent, Your Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, The Queers, Laura Reed and The Deep Pockets, LA Riots, The New Familiars, UNKNOWN HINSON, Donavon Frankenreiter and local bands Spoonful Of Soul, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Tasuma, Global Repercussions and Xenofunk.
Christine and Patika take great pride in their costuming. They spend many hours behind the scenes working, conceptualizing and putting together fantastic, self designed wears of art for each show. They offer a wide variety of styles, fusing together various cultures, time periods and worlds.
The Ember*Ellas transport their audiences into new & mystical realms. Through performance, they hope to inspire others to explore and cultivate their own unique and creative talents.
The Ember*Ellas are available for weddings, festivals, themed parties, night clubs, art openings, conventions, birthdays, corporate events, kids parties and much more.
