and you wanna know how to get started..?
much has changed since the days where i only had 3 friends on myspace. nowadays, i've gotta lotta cool friends and i getta lotta great messages including lotsa people asking what they should do to learn how to do what i do....
....so heres my advice and thanks for the support!
1.Practice rotating your wrists.
2.Put a little weight...tennis balls, limes, balled up sox, whatever in the bottom of a pair of socks and try spinnin em. lots of figure 8s.one hand following the other. try something tricky with just one hand then try it with both.
3.Don't limit yourself if you don't have socks! There are things to spin all over the place...
tie a little wieght on the end of some rope/string/yarn/closthesline/whatever and whola, practie poi. or stand in the middle of a jumprope and spin the ends. whatta bout grandmas macrame?
grab a rolling pin and you've got a short staff. any rolls of wrapping paper around for a longer staff? or whatabouta limb from a tree?
