Ember is the culmination of alternative rock, with an uplifting and energetic tone. Bringing you positive music that makes you feel good, makes you think and excited for what life has in store.
Ember was formed in early 2005 by two former band mates, Jimmy Fry (vocals) and Dan Rose (drums). Shortly after, they added Richie Gibson (bass). Lastly, Adam Brooks (guitar) joined the group. Each member had the same goal in mind for the band; to share the hope of Christ with those struggling through life. The group was blessed with a unique sound, rich in melodic guitar parts, strong bass lines, powerful drumbeats, and passionate vocals.
Ember's live show blends together real emotion through their lyrics, with energy from doing what they love. Although often compared to Switchfoot or Sanctus Real, Ember provides a rock style uniquely there own. Their dedication to hard work, and intense love for music, fuels Ember to continue to be used to reach people who may be searching.
In June 2007, Ember released a five song EP “We Are”. The band chose five of their most powerful & personal songs to debut on the album. Songs like “Diverse Symphony” and “Serenity” become a charge for this generation to take action to help change this dark and dying world. “Hold On” is a cry for hope to those who feel life has nothing left for them. “Rock-a-Bye” was written as a thank you to their wives for their continued support, while the tender balled “Beautiful” was written not only as a love letter to their children, but to every child in the hand of their Creator.
The band continues writing new music. Taking life experience, the joy and the pain of everyday life, and turning it into a song that each individual feels their soul has been singing, and only now has found the tune.
Ember’s goal is to tell other’s what Jimmy, Dan, Adam and Richie have already discovered; that Christ died for their sins and came to give them life more abundant and free.
The summer of 2007 allowed Ember to perform at the Pro Life Music Festival with bands like Decyfer Down & Fireflight. Another huge blessing was the opportunity to play at Alive 2007 after taking 3 out of 28 bands nation wide to perform along side This Beautiful Republic, & Emery.
Ember is already on the road to accomplishing great things. With their first EP, fresh music, and an eager audience waiting, Ember hits the ground running with no stop in sight. Blessed by the support of their fans, and the only One that matters, Ember ignites their way through a new stream of shows. Hoping to shine bright, that all the world may see.
