About me: EMERALD CITY BIKE BLOC! We put together and promote bike events. Rides. Alley cats. Sprints. Competitions. For all bikes. Some rides and events are bike specific to compete in (who brought the 29er to the mini-bike sprints?) But all are welcome to come hang out. Lets ride bikes together! The locations may change, our profile picture should be the most current event. We'll keep you posted. If you are interested in putting on your own race, and would like help getting the word out, let us know, we will help where we can. Keep the rubber side down.

Who I'd like to meet: This may not be a political site, but we like bikes. And Obama likes bikes. John McCain DOES NOT like bikes.
Seattle has it going on...
-Every Wednesday 7pm: Humpday Hustle! Get your hustle on! Meet at Red Square for a fun, fast paced ride. All are welcome, but be aware that this can be a quick riding group. If you aren't sure you can keep up with the pack, get a phone number so you can meet up at the destination for some celebratory beverages.
-Every Thursday 7pm: .83 Ride. Westlake Square, downtown. Rain or Shine. Casual ride. All are welcome!
-Every Sunday 1pm: Slow Sunday. Roll out around 1:30, open to all riders, easy pace. Fun is the operative word.
-Second Friday of Every Month 6:30pm: Future.Tense. Pushing limits and having fun is the name of the game. Free event for fixed gear and track riders. Games, races, friendly competition. Come hang out in a positive space with friends, and make new friends!
Last Friday of every month 5:30pm: Critical Mass. Westlake Square, downtown. All encouraged to come!
-Last Friday of every month after Critical Mass: .83 Greenlake Races! South end of Greenlake, by the bleachers. Categories for men's, women's, and crazybikes! One lap around the lake, fastest rider wins the trophy for a month. Prizes available for winners in all of the categories.
note how its the FIRST such event in the country EVER! we're a bit behind the times over here. i also like how it says they might do 3 or 4 laps depending on the conditions. sketchy! I'm sad to be missing all the races you lot are having though.
I checked the route for this time trial and I'm syked but not sure if I'm going to be able to make it back home in time, hopefully i'll see you guys there but if for some reason i don't hope it all goes well and props to whoever designed that route, i think it's the coolest one I've seen yet. NO SWEAT!
would so be there if i didn't catch my hand in a rat trap, rendering it useless for brakes. clearly the solution here is for me to get rid of my brakes. or perhaps be less curious about things not meant for my little hands.
i'll be back late on the 12th of dec. and leave on the night of the 17th. i got hit by a car two days ago. messed me up pretty good. cracked my shoulder blade in half. womp womp. But, I still have my PMA(posative mental attitude) love you guys!
