    Formed in 2005 and incorporating musicians from Belfast, Northern Ireland and County Durham; the Emerald Thieves play a great mixture of Celtic and Contemporary cover songs by The Pogues, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Deacon Blue, Van Morrison, Sterophonics, The Waterboys, Saw Doctors, Steve Earle and The Killers. The Thieves are a faithful recreation of the versatile cover bands to be found on the live music circuits of Belfast and Dublin. We are 100% live and DO NOT use any backing tracks or minidisc trickery; now doesn't that make a refreshing change?

    The Emerald Thieves have now been confirmed as the Saturday night headline band at Keswick Beer Festival in June 2010. The band are greatly honoured to be asked back yet again by the festival goers and organisers. After 2009's Friday headline slot this will make it a record FOUR consecutive appearances - a feat equalled by no other band in the festivals 14 year history. Thanks everyone!
