What is Emerge and why am I hearing about it all over Tampa Bay? Is it a cult? No, can't say that! Is it some kind of religion? No, can't say that either! Is it a church? I am not sure you would call us that exactly...Maybe more of a gathering of youth where some are searching and others have found what they are looking for. What we are is a good question! Honestly, the answer to that is ever evolving. I would say we are a group of youth who love people regardless of where they have been, what they have done and who they are. We don't give a rip about someone's social or economic status. We are non-judgmental. We believe we need to be love to the world. God's love. Love is not just a feeling but an action. We believe more in actually living for Christ than just saying we do. We are a group of youth that are OK with standing up for our Savior, regardless of the cost...and not being a jerk while doing it. We know life is tough. Things like cutting, depression, divorce, insecurity, peer pressure, abuse, struggling with identity and confusion are not new to us and we are willing to help you get through it. We are not afraid to get involved with people who have messy lives! Heck, all of our lives are messy at times. We don't know all the answers but know THE answer on how to make it through this journey called life.
