   About Emile Menasche
Praise for Overtones
“Menasché is a writer who has done music for films, and this is a beautiful set of acoustic music that evokes many moods, most of them quiet. Musically, there’s a mix of Latin, jazz and folk that works wonderfully with Menasché’s mastery of the guitar. It’s simple and comforting music in a day when it’s needed.”
—John Heidt, Vintage Guitar Magazine, December, 2009
vintageguitar.com

"Having written soundtracks for documentaries about rural America, Menasché has been inspired to record this collection of acoustic guitar instrumentals to celebrate a simpler, slower way of life. It’s suitably austere and uncluttered, with no pretentious gimmicks or effects muddying the big, beautiful tone of his three Guild guitars. There are 14 original compositions plus the jazz standard ‘Goodbye Porkpie Hat’ here, and the harmony between the tracks reflects the natural diversity of his nation rather than the human divisions between the people who now inhabit it. It’s a thoughtful work, so submerge yourself in its depths to enjoy the full effect."

About Emile Menasché
I'm a guitarist, singer-songwriter/composer and journalist living outside of New York City. I play music with my friends: in the bands Significant Others and Speak the Language, and as an an accompanist with various singer-songwriters. I'm proud to have created soundtracks for several films, including American Farm, Our Island Home, Parallel Sons, and God's Open Hand. My new acoustic album, Overtones, will be out on CD in the spring. I have MP3s on this site, but the sound engineer Rich Tozzoli captured deserves to be heard at CD quality or better. I've got a homepage: MenaschéMedia.com is my business site, and there you'll find links to the music, magazines and books I work on.

Welcome to my wonderful world of music. It is my honor to add you as a friend. I absolutely love your music and dedication. Hope the music God gave me to share with you blesses you abundantly.

Praise God the title song to my new CD, "The Little White Cross," is getting many heavy radio rotations on country and christian radio stations. It has climbed Power Source Magazine's southern gospel chart for the third month running. Many thanks to the stations playing it and the fans requesting it. I love you all. You can hear it at myspace profile or any electronic music store like itunes.com, napster.com, emusic.com and others.

Hey there Emile...we're all bopping are heads in the office right now to the Cool New Mind...it's got a nice little sway n' swagger to it...100% COOOLNESS ;-)

What time/locale is your performance going to be at the 4-H fair? We were only planning to stop by for the Country Living auction (since we are in process of donating some gift certificates for them to auction) but would love to stop by and hear some more tunes. Check you later ;-)
