Following on from her critically acclaimed sets 'Love In The Time Of Science' and her first for Rough Trade 'Fisherman's Woman', the forthcoming 'Me And Armini' (released 8th September) sees her working once again with her long time producer/collaborator Dan Carey resulting in what we feel is destined to be one of the albums of 2008.
'Me And Armini' is a hugely ambitious and aspirational pop record with Emiliana’s soaring voice centre stage, bolstered by a rich gamut of musical styles. From the summery skank of the title track (released 18th August on limited 7 inch vinyl) to the yearning, spine-tingling single 'Big Jumps' (due mid October) to the surging, breathless 'Jungle Drum' and much more in between 'Me And Armini' is a truly fantastic album.
'Me And Armini' will be released as a digital single in the US exclusively via iTunes on 19th August, with the album of the same name to follow on 9th September.

Hello Emiliana! After years of waiting and hoping ;-) I'm finally gonna see you next week in Karlsruhe. I've just realized you're gonna be in Istanbul tomorrow. Hope you'll have the chance to see a bit of the city. It's wonderful and magic and beautiful and and and. I love that city!!! If I was there, I'd show you around a bit :-) I promised a colleague (who's gonna join the gig next week as well) to write you and ask you if you're gonna do "jungle drum" at the gig. He had a kind of "traumatic" experience with that song. One of his neighbours played that song for hours and now he gets very aggressive when someone whistles that song :-) Fortunately, we already had the tickets before this incident happened ;-) Don't take this too serious. It's kind of a running gag for us now... We're all looking forward to see you perform live! It's gonna be the relaxing end to long day (conference all day long...).
