"The Boy Who Dreamed " There once was a boy , who..s Father had abandoned him and his siblings, although he didn't have many toy..s growing up, he had his dreams. He used to play with bottle caps and he would use them all on a stage, which consisted of an empty box, this is where the bottle caps would perform. On his wall he had posters of well-known celebrities, not because he idolized them, but because he knew that they were no different then him, and that he had something in common with them although he had nothing. After Christmas he would lie to his classmates about what he received for Christmas, because the truth he had to suppress, but he still dreamed. I am the creator of "The Familia" A Latino Mob story, which will be seen world wide. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I've been on my own since the age of 14. Everything that I have was earned by hard work and perseverance, Ive performed with the Family repertory theatre, I've been in alot of indie films. While I was training with the Family, I was homeless, but I alway's made it to class, no one knew this, but I had holes on the bottom of my shoes, and I used to sleep on trains. I used to wash up at Pen Station and shave, so that I would look presentable, I would spend many nights at the founders home in Newark, he was a great man. One day I just started to write a script, don't ask me how because I didn't have any formal training, I bought a camera and shot my first short film, It wasn't perfect, but the story was good, It brought many tears to the viewers. Since then I have written a full feature, by the name of "Xavier Morales", everyone who has read the script has been blown away by it, to tell you the truth, I don't remember writing it, it is all a blur to me. I am in the process of putting together a team to shoot the movie. In the past I was a singer, I've done shows with TKA, Judy Torres,Nyasia, too many to list. Also I've been working on the sound track with my brother Lucky Base who lives in Cleveland,Ohio, he is amazing, the shit that he comes up with will blow your socks off. I just want to say, that it doesn't matter where you've been, it only matters where your going. If they can do it, so can I !
Taino Rosa productions was founded by Emilio Rosa along with Award winning writer Juan Shamsul Alam, in 2006. This company was born out of pure necessity. We are here to build our dreams like those before us have done in the past. Taino Rosa Productions is a Latino film production entity who are devoted to doing it their way. We as Latinos have a whole plethora of stories to tell and we will no longer be stereotyped by anyone in the industry. We will write our own stories as well as tell them on film. By the year 2015, we will be the majority and Taino Rosa Productions will lead the way.
