General
I have a confession to make:
I heart all things emo. I can't help it, it's just how I am. And if you don't like it, too bad. I am who I am, and that's all I can be. :] Love.

Movies
My favorite movies would have to include:
Bobby JUNO (pure amazing-ness) Garden State (greatness!) Rent (the best movie based on a musical ever!!) Imagine Me and You V for Vendetta Saving Face Hairspray Breakfast Club Pretty in Pink Sixteen Candles Mean Girls Resident Evil Underworld Final Destination The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Wrong Turn Donnie Darko Harry Potter Mermaids Uncle Buck Now and Then The Goonies A League of their Own My Girl Stand by Me Wedding Crashers Thirteen Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Finding Nemo Elizabethtown Buffy any movie you haven't heard of...I probably like it. When I'm bored I go to blockbuster and pick sundance, indie, and film festival movies...sometimes there way better then the hollywood stuff...and quite literally a million more that I forgot to list...
Television
I've recently become somewhat of a TV-Addict.
I can't help myself, especially thanks to live online streaming, YouTube, and The Hub. But if I had to sum up my favorites they would be: (after the top 3, they're in no particular order.)
South of Nowhere Degrassi Buffy the Vampire Slayer Weeds Dirt Law & Order:SVU Without a Trace CSI The L Word Veronica Mars LOST Alias Heroes It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia The Office One Tree Hill America's Next Top Model American Idol The Sarah Silverman Program Grey's Anatomy How I Met Your Mother The Big Bang Theory RW/RR Gauntlets A Shot at Love Rock of Love Without a Trace Cold Case

Reading is Oldschool.
I will read any fictional book if it sounds interesting. These are some of my favorite books that I can actually think of right now:
The Twilight Saga! Harry Potter The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants The Five People You Meet in Heaven My Sister's Keeper Romeo and Juliet Memoirs of a Geisha The Pact Lucky Aimee Nineteen Minutes Anything by Jodi Picoult PostSecret Books Go Ask Alice Perks of Being a Wallflower (thanks to Ellen!) House of Leaves Middlesex
Heroes
prove to me you're worth it...and you'll be my hero for life. i'm a fan of people who are honest and genuine, people who aren't scared to talk, people who don't judge me based solely on the way i look or on a first impression.
my friends and my family are one in the same. i love them and without them and their support i wouldn't be where i am today...
I'm always open to meeting new people...you never know when you're gonna meet someone who changes your life.
it doesn't take much to win me over. just be yourself, be genuine, be real. what's not to love?
These are the people I absolutely couldn't live without:
Toni [my sister] Maria [my "other" sister] aka Vanity and Narcissism Jordan [my wife] Masada [my bestie] Illy [my famskie] Ellen [my kodak partner in crime] Andrew [my cousin] Jared & Jeremy [my fire-breathing friends] RyRy [my kodak loving friend] and so many more that I'm sure I forgot...

Honest and Trustworthy I’m a lesbian and, contrary to what you may think, that does not mean I hate men. It means I love women. I have a ton of friends who are guys, friends who I’d trust with my life. So please don’t assume you know me because you know who I love. I'll be the first person to give you my jacket if you're cold, even if I'm freezing too. I will do anything to protect the people I love. I love people who are passionate about things. It takes a really strong person to care about something or someone so much that they actually get excited just talking about that thing. You learn a lot about someone by what they are passionate about. You'll realize that I am the kind of person who falls hard and fast...I don't think it's because I'm too quick to fall in love, I just know what I want and when I see it I know. I’m a Junior at the University of Minnesota majoring in Youth Studies Someday I will open my own youth center so every single child I work with can have the opportunity to express themselves creatively and have an outlet, a place where they can feel safe and free to be themselves. I’m very passionate about my major, if you want to know more I am more than willing to talk to you about it. Life changes fast and I'm just trying to keep up. Everyday I find out a little more about who I am-and that’s the way I like it. Easy-going//Hyper Organized (in my own way...) I’ve always been a bit of a day dreamer…but I like to think it’s part of my charm. Vampires are my favorite fictional characters. Read the Twilight Series and you’ll get it. omg. Shy//Friendly I have been told I give amazing hugs. I ♥ my friends. I'm a Virgo. So if I ever seem a little OCD, it's because I am. I’m a little bit emo, and a little bit rock ‘n roll Take the time to get to know me, I've been told its worth it 2007 Season Kodak employee @ Six Flags Great America. Funny...or so they say. I will try my best to make you smile. My favorite Beatle's songs are "Hey Jude" & “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” Sarcastic, but always with the best intentions. I love to laugh. But a good cry can be so therapeutic. I may be addicted to movies//music. I recently got over my fear of public speaking and realized I'm actually pretty good at it. And that I *gasp* actually enjoy it! I am full of random knowledge about things you'd never expect. Don't believe me? Challenge me to a round of Scene It or Trivial Pursuit. ;)b> Daydreamer//Idealist//Liberal//Lover Compulsive thinker. I love to write. Poetry, songs, essays, blogs…you name it, I love to write it. Blogging is my guilty pleasure. Softball is the best sport ever. I think everyone should be allowed to get married…love is love. And that’s a fact. I love going to shows/concerts, especially when I know the band playing. I really love going with Illy to ska shows and skankin’ it up! My favorite color is purple. Music is what keeps me sane, or as close to sane as one can be in today’s world I like to have a good time. I love to dance. Sometimes I act like I don't, but secretly I always want to dance. I love shower/driving karaoke. I love to drive. I could watch VH1 countdowns all day. I love to take pictures. I'm a professional photographer and currently work for two studios. I’m a hippie, punk-rocker at heart I love to read. I might be a book worm. I like to be alone sometimes. I love to cuddle. And I love to be close to people. Confrontation scares me to death. I love my family and my friends. You would too. I love the theatre. Doing musical theatre is what saved me from myself in high school. Bonfires are amazing, especially with good friends and s’mores. Running in the rain is the best feeling ever, second only to laying outside in the rain staring up at the stars. I am a lover, not a fighter. I am anti-war, but I support the troops completely and I miss my friends who are over there now. I hate ignorant people. I love to discuss politics. If you don't take the time to educate yourself about current events, don’t whine to me about the problems in the world because you’re not doing anything to help. We all have something in common: we all just want to be accepted and understood. I hate stereotypes. I hate feet and popcorn. I'm scared of heights, dying alone, spiders, and losing my memory.
To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. ~Ralph Emerson
"Everyone promises you happily ever after...but life turns into a different kind of fairy tale." ~Rachel, Imagine You and Me
"There are many things in your heart you can never tell another person. They are you, your private joys and sorrows, and you can never tell them. You cheapen yourself, the inside of yourself, when you tell them."
~~ Greta Garbo
For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. ~~Nelson Mandela
“Don’t turn away from the things you don’t understand…Don Miller writes in Blue Like Jazz that “something was broken in the world and we were supposed to hold out palms against the wound”. That’s it. We’re called to stop the bleeding. We’re called to change the world.”
--Jamie (To Write Love On Her Arms)
“Everyone at some point is reaching out for something looking for some type of hope. That’s really the point of “We are Broken”, it’s just admitting everything is sort of screwed up and I’m looking for some hope.”
--Hayley Williams (Paramore)
"Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time." (Anonymous)
"Sing me something soft, sad and delicate. Or loud and off key. Sing me anything."
--Straylight Run (Existentialism on Prom Night)
"Somebody tell me you've got love figured out, cause I've got news for you, it's pretty darn messy now. But I guess its always been that way, wanting to be loved, to find someone that makes your heart ache in a good way, to feel understood. If that feeling no longer exists, you missed it and I feel sorry for you because as far as I can tell that's what it's all about and that's what it always should be about."
--Brooke (One Tree Hill)
"Well that, of course, was Zampanos greatest ironic gesture; love of love written by the broken hearted; love of life written by the dead: all this language of light, film and photography, and he hadn't seen a thing since the mid-fifties. He was blind as a bat."
--From the book House of Leaves
"Out of the blue, beyond any cause you can trace, you'll suddenly realize things are not how you perceived them at all. For some reason, you will no longer be the person you believed you once were. You'll stand aside as a great complexity intrudes, tearing apart, piece by piece, all of your carefully conceived denials, whether deliberate or unconscious. And then, for better or worse, you'll turn, unable to resist, though try to resist you still will, fighting with everything you've got not to face the thing you most dread, what is now, what will be, what has always come before, the creature you truly are, the creature we all are, buried in the nameless blackness of a name."
--From House of Leaves
"Being brave does not mean that you are not scared. It means that if you are scared you do the thing you're afraid of anyway."
From: The Perks of Being a Wallflower Insights/Quotes:
"Charlie, we accept the love we think we deserve."
"I didn't know that other people thought things about me. I didn't know that they looked."
This picture means a lot to me. Not because it's particularly awesome, but because we have a picture exactly like this one from ten years later (this summer)and I couldn't be happier that we had this amazing bond ten years ago and we still have it now. This is my, my sister, and my cousins...but if you saw us all together you'd just assume we were all siblings. I love them all. And I'd do anything for them.
I've already met some super amazing people in my lifetime...anyone else I meet would just be a bonus...
I think I would also like to meet myself in the future...I want to know if everything I've been through, everything I've worked so hard for will pay off. I want to know id I accomplish my goals and fulfill my dreams. I want to know if I ever get around to finishing my book, or finding that one true love, or opening the youth center I dream about! I'm curious by nature...
I just wanna meet someone who loves me for me. I'm realizing I've had a few people like that in my life before and I never realized it...I have some of the most amazing, supportive friends in the world. They've been there for me through everything and I can't believe I ever thought they wouldn't be.
Oh! I think it'd be awesome to meet Ellen Page too! I think we'd get along famously and she seems like a freakin' awesome person to just hang out with. Maybe it's just me...
