Emily's music comes straight from the heart. It is a finely crafted expression of home truths woven with earthy acoustic sounds and hauntingly beautiful lyrics. Her raw energy, stage presence, unique vocals and soulful guitar work mesh into a performance that will enrich you with its honesty. Her live performances are warm and inviting, drawing the audience in for an especially moving experience.
Emily's performances have a balanced blend of earthy and rhythmic acoustica, and intense and emotive interludes. With influences of classical guitar, jazz, folk and pop, the fusion of sounds is carefully weaved together to form her classic style.
Emily can perform solo, as a duo or with her new trio featuring Tori Phillips on the Violin and Asher Reynolds on Piano and Percussion.
Singing and songwriting since the age of 14 Emily's music is constantly evolving. The trials and joys of everyday life are translated through her poetic lyrics as she connects with her audience – providing a fresh and real perspective. Soundscapes and stories, reflections and ballads about the beauty and tragedy of urban pursuits, are brought to life in her songwriting.
Emily's debut album "Moving in Slow Motion" features Monique Brumby in the producer's seat and 'Badloves' drummer Chris Tabone behind the kit.

REVIEWS
"This singer/songwriter has come up with a stellar album. Davis has a beautiful voice, whose style resembles Sarah Blasko's sound with a little less pop." Sunday Telegraph
"Emily's songs not only contain sensitive, well-constructed lyrics and catchy melodies but they are made even more pleasurable by her exquisite voice and charming stage presence. Her live performance exudes a grounded-ness and sincerity that is totally absorbing." dB Magazine
"Davis is the real deal. Reminiscent in some respects to Natalie Merchant, Davis's songs are soulfully colourful, her voice is smooth and her compositions are mature. With the right song she'll be catapulted to the highest echelons of her profession." Music SA - Steve Davenport
"Emily Davis' release baths the listener in acoustic brilliance with a swath of angelic tracks the likes not seen before in Australia. Tracks on the album can be compared to Missy Higgins, Kasey Chambers & more, but Emily has an instant appeal that draws you into feeling the journey this storyteller is presenting. A delightful education on the finer side of music, Moving In Slow Motion really gives Emily Davis the cross over potential like Bernard Fanning has." Poprepublic.tv
"Emily Davis has talent in spades. The most striking feature of her debut CD is the assuredness in which she delivers her strong material. Some debuts succeed through raw originality of youthful enthusiasm. Davis scores with her glorious melodies and mature delivery, sometimes reminiscent of like-minded Adelaidians, Fruit. The arrangements are at turns sparse and lush, the sign of an artist who is deeply in touch with her work. This is a collection of beautiful songs that you will absorb as I have. We at Blaze love independent artists, and this is a top shelf example of why." Blaze
