Books
Lots....I read anything from thrillers to sci-fi to chick lit....it just has to be good. My definition of good is probably different than yours, and that's ok, this is America. :-) I like both Faye and Jonathan Kellerman, Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, James Lee Burke, Anne Perry, Tami Hoag, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, some Clive Barker, Andrew Greeley, some Anne Rice, S.L. Viehl (check out the StarDoc books, they're great), Tad Williams, Tolkien, David and Leigh Eddings, Nora Roberts, Joan Johnston, Anne McCaffrey, C.S. Friedman, Julie Czerneda, C.S. Lewis, oh yeah and 'Gates of Fire' by Steven Pressfield....there's more but my brain hurts!
Heroes
Jesus, Brother Andrew (God's Smuggler), Hobbs (KIA, Afghanistan, 10/14/04), anyone who stands up for what they believe in, no matter the cost. People who mean what they say and say what they mean, without being mean. :-)

About me: I'm a mammal-type person, a Church Lady, rather shy and reserved until I'm comfortable. I think most people would say I've got an offbeat sense of humor. I think that's just a nice way of saying 'juvenile sense of humor' but I'll take it as a compliment anyways.
Who I'd like to meet: I dunno....I guess nice people. If this is a place where you gush about meeting Johnny Depp, while yes it would be nice, but really , except for 'gee I love your movies' or 'wow, you are one gorgeous excuse for a human being'--what would you say? In reality, they're people like any other, and probably get a little too much of that. Maybe I'm overthinking things.
One person I'd like to meet:
Also my AB, FTM, IWH friends and others on BBC:
"Now is the judgement of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. " John 12:31-32
Continue to remember! May our military never give up the fight on terrorism no matter how many protest! I hope and pray nothing like this ever happens again to us or to any other nation.
I'm editing A Demon Awaits, getting it ready for press. The book will be released October 15, so I'm in overdrive for the next two weeks. The early feedback is great and I've got a few events already lined up for the fall.
It's a great day here in NE. I might even have to hit the pool when my eyesight gets fuzzy from all the reading.
Emily I will try calling you later this week so hopefully we can get the kiddos together. We've been busy doing stuff with family, today we are visiting some cousins in Mesa. Hope you have a wonderful day!
