Emily Heller has had a long and storied comedy career that will hopefully be ending soon. She got her start in Doug Holsclaw’s standup class at UC Santa Cruz in the fall of 2006. She joined the all-lady sketch troupe SheBam several months later and commuted to San Francisco for open mics for a year before giving up the commute and moving there.
She is a founding member of another all-lady sketch troupe called Boner Patrol that has performed to sold out audiences in San Francisco. As part of the monthly variety showcase Things We Made, Emily (along with her friend Beata) has performed in San Francisco Sketchfest 2009 as well as the Sacramento All-Sketch Festival.
She has performed stand-up all over the bay area, including the San Francisco Punchline and the legendary Purple Onion. One time she even did the open mic at Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis.
Her comedic writing has been featured in FastCompany Magazine. Yes, she IS the counter clerk in "Lazy Sunday," although she got that cause of nepotism and no other reason.
She likes you, kind of a lot, even if her face tells a different story.

I had a bit part in an SNL digital short wherein I played a disgruntled convenience store clerk. For this role I did a year and a half of research at Longs Drugs. It was not worth it.
