Jason Mraz, Jewel, Bonnie Raitt, Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow...and the list goes on. I listen to all types of music and learn and grow from every song I hear. But my main influence is myself, my friends, the world and its people, because that is what I write about and the music follows...
Hmmm, well I guess I can talk about music. Music is something that every human being thrives on ...we need it. We need our favorite singers, we need to hear that one favorite song, because a day would not be as good without it. And for a while, the ability to really make music was greatly limited by the confines of the music industry, but I think that time is coming to an end. We are now at a point were we can write our own music, play it, advertise it, make an amazing product all on our own, and I think this fact is going to start bringing the music home. Whether it be epic or just a little tune, it need not be contrived for market, just honest. And you know, there are other people out there who believe this, who are writing just to write, to be able to give something. That is our contribution to the world. I don't know where I would be if I didn't have my favorite song or music to fill my car as I drive. And there are musicians out the there, hundereds of musicians and songwriters in every community. With each song they write, there is something to be given and something to be recieved. Let us keep making that music and taking it back...and you know, there are a lot of hidden treasures in these local musicians which need not be lost, go out and find them. P.S.
