Emma and her guitar have been living in Sydney for a year and a half now, spending the time writing songs, performing – as much as possible – and loving every second of it. In the last year she has been a finalist in the Sydney University band competition, a Triple J feature artist, and has supported acts such as Midnight Swim and Abby Dobson.
Emma grew up in London and picked up the classical guitar at the age of 8. At 16 she became the lead guitarist of the funk-rock band My Lost Weekend, gaining her first experience writing, recording and performing at numerous venues on the London circuit. When the band went their separate ways, Emma moved across the Atlantic to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. It was here that she returned to her acoustic guitar and began to write and perform her solo material.
Finally, after a year of study, Emma moved again, this time across the world to Sydney, where she remains...ecstatic.
