About emma

My name is Emma and I'm a 20 year-old singer/songwriter/student...in that exact order! I'm currently studying a BA at UCT, majoring in drama, english literature and media and writing, spending my lecture times thinking about my new songs and my next gigs. Yes, I'm obviously all about prioritising! I was born on a farm in the KZN Midlands only because someone got the stage directions wrong but now I revel in the cultural mecca that is the glorious city of Cape Town. A closet choir nerd turned pop-folk-rock muso, I've been singing forever, playing guitar for a few years, writing my own songs for about two of them and I plan to (somehow) graduate at the end of the year and concentrate full time on my music.
