The band is built around Emma's voice, backed by the essential rock trio of guitar, bass and drums. Our aim is to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, while staying within the core rock genre, so we play some quite old songs and some very new ones, some quite light and some pretty heavy. At any point in the set there's usually somebody singing along.
The song samples here were recorded in 2006 and 2008 by Matt Terry at VADA Studios in Stratford-upon-Avon. The earlier recordings also feature keyboard by Ian McLean. Copies of our demo CD are available on request.
Our first gig as The Emma Kotka Band was in May 2007, although we had been together for some time before that as Still Crazy. We mainly play pubs, and also for charity. This year we've played in aid of Breast Cancer at The Punchbowl in Warwick and played at the Guide Dogs Gala Day at the Royal Show Ground in July. And if you and your friends like rock with a bit of edge, book us for your party.
