As a teenager Emma would use her classical piano training to spend countless hours at the piano,
writing, arranging her own songs and singing.

After graduating with a BA Hons. Degree in Literature, Art History and Culture
(including theatre studies and acting), Emma spent time working in a recording
studio, before going on to study music production, sound engineering and
studio programming techniques, also the basics of guitar,drums and musical arrangement.
In London Emma took singing lessons to strengthen her vocal technique.

Emma’s first demo - electronic and live piano - self written, arranged and
produced on her home studio in London led to a show case in New York,
where she sang and played some of her acoustic based songs on the Steinway grand piano at Blue Note Records - showcase for the late legendary Arif Mardin (1932 – 2006, producer and head of Manhattan label- producing Aretha Franklin and Norah Jones to name but a few), and Bruce Lundvall of Blue Note Records/President EMI Music.
