About me:
My blog is here. Pictures I take are posted to my Flickr stream.

My favorite activity is getting a good coffee buzz on, blasting some crunchy breakcore/drum&bass, and coding or working a logic-heavy problem. I like to use Q.E.D. ironically. I like to learn from/with other people. I am a hardcore data preservationist, which comes with all the political and lifestyle leanings you might expect it to.
Who I'd like to meet:
"You have to like what you do enough that the concept of 'spare time' seems mistaken. Which is not to say you have to spend all your time working. You can only work so much before you get tired and start to screw up. Then you want to do something else--even something mindless. But you don't regard this time as the prize and the time you spend working as the pain you endure to earn it."

Barbara Partee.

Hey Emma - it was nice to meet you in person. Sorry I passed out early. I'm getting old for this weekend road trip stuff, I think.

Partying with linguists is weird. I think the conversation-to-meta-conversation ratio was about 50/50. =)

Cheers!

sadly, "bros before dicks" does not carry the same weight as either of the corollary phrases which are its antecedents.

kidding, it was just time for a shuffle after adding 4 new toppers, and i like the look of alternating between male and female.

or you could see this as a opportunity to prove your worth to me? :)

Oh kitten, I'm afeared that I won't be able to see you this break : ( I am at home in Moorpark until I leave for NorCal. I get back the 6th (or the 5th, I dunno) - will you still be around? I feel like a crummy friend : (
