Emma T., dove la T. sta per Travet, cognome piemontese assai comune, niente a che vedere con Emma Thompson. Ha 26 anni e abita in Italia, in una città vicino a Torino, dov’è nato uno dei primi locali gay d’ Europa. Di lavoro fa la giornalista pubblicista, quasi giornalmente sfruttata dal suo capo, Mr Vintage (non perchè sia cool, ma perchè indossa solo capi datati che odorano di naftalina, come il suo pensiero). Alzarsi al mattino e rinchiudersi tutti i giorni (sabato mattina compreso) in una redazione locale non è il massimo. Sarebbe meglio scrivere per Vanity Fair, al quale invia, da due anni a sta parte, un curriculum a settimana. Prima o poi, almeno per sfinimento, confida che qualcuno le risponda. Nel frattempo continua a scrivere su “La Voce del Monviso” e sul magazine per i giovani della zona “NEW MAG”, spaziando dalla rubrica di cucina “Carciofi verdi bolliti (ma anche altro)”all’intervista alle celebrities de’ noiatri, passando per il reportage sulla sagra del peperone. E per arrotondare s’improvvisa, a volte, copy writer o scatta foto artistico-glamourous a sua nonna Olga Dionigia, la modella preferita per gli shooting che inventa, per poi venderli ad una rivista inglese, a cui piacciono queste cose artistico-contemporanee con contaminazione fashion. Precaria, ma con stile, si barcamena nella vita di tutti i giorni,tra famiglia e lavoro flessibile, con una buona dose di ironia e di creatività, perchè “anche una che prende 899 euro al mese, può permettersi dei piccoli lussi (leggi: la borsa di Biasia scontata), grazie ad una rete di amiche e di giuste conoscenze”.
Drogata di tutto quanto è vintage, ha provato a smettere con scarsi risultati.
Ha scritto il suo primo romanzo,sullo stile chik-lit, ma declinandolo all’italiana.
Ed a creato un merchandising ad hoc (realizzato da martag)
che riprende alcuni particolari citati nel romanzo.

Emma T.—the letter T. stands for the rather common Piedemontese surname of Travet and has nothing to do with Emma Thompson. 26 years old, Ishe lives in Italy in a city near Torino noted for having been one of the first places in Europe to open a gay-bar.
She's a journalist-publicist who is regularly exploited by my boss, Mr Vintage (not because he’s fashionably cool but because his clothes—much like his thoughts—smell of moth balls).
Getting up each morning to hole herself up in a tiny, editorial office isn’t exactly what one would call the most exciting of lives. She has been dreaming of the glamourous Vanity Fair offices all her life, and in the past two years she has inundated their offices with weekly copies of her curriculum in the vain hope that some soul will write back from mere exhaustion. In this never-ending wait, she writes for “The Voice of Monviso” and “NEW MAG”, a publication for the young local crowd. She also dabble with a cookery magazine, “Boiled Green Artichokes (And Such)”, interviewing local celebrities whilst documenting the local feast dedicated to peppers. To make ends meet, she becomes a copywriter or take artistically glam pictures of her favourite model, her grandma Olga Dionigia, and sell them to an artisically trendy British magazine.
Without a fixed ‘proper’ job but with plenty of style, she affront life armed with a healthy dose of irony and creativity. After all, even if her wage is a mere 899 euros a month, she can still afford life’s little luxuries (see “Biasia Bag at a Discount”) thanks to her network of friends and contacts.
Addicted to vintage wear, she has tried to curb her habit and failed miserably.
She has written her first chick-lit novel with an Italian edge, WICH YOU CAN PRINT OFF DIRECTELY FROM THE BLOG.

"La Casa degli Artisti", venne costruita nel 1911 per ospitare studi di artisti (tra gli altri, Fabro, Buzzati, Ferroni e Chet Baker). Chi la abitava l'ha mantenuta in piedi, curata e animata. Dal 20 settembre 2007 è abbandonata e desolata a seguito dello sgombero ordinato dal Comune di Milano.
"La Casa degli Artisti" - literally the "House of Artists" - was built in 1911 in order to host some artists' studios (among them, Fabro, Buzzati, Ferroni, and Chet Baker). The people who lived in it kept it running, well-groomed and animated. Since September 20th 2007 it has been neglected and deserted, as Milan's municipality ordered its evacuation.
