History Lesson: EMP was founded by Marvel Norwood and Anthony Kelley in the Summer of 1997. Since &..39;97 we have worked diligently to expand our operations and increase our work force. As of 2005 we are the rightful owners of HQR and Holla at Ya Peoples Entertainment (H.Y.P.E). HQR currently has several artists on its label. Those artists include Wale (solo rap / hip hop artist), the Blunted T.H.U.G.S (Lil Sie, Splicha...), Lil Nik (female rap artist) and Kedrick (Rhythm and Gangsta artist). Whereabouts: Hitter Quitter Records is a DC based organization. The majority of its members where born and raised on the Southside of DC however our talent isn't limited to that area. For example, Big Dice reigns out of Northeast and Mean Eights is home to Northwest DC.
