About Empire State Human *Official*

Welcome to the musical home of Empire State Human. Based in Dublin/Ireland, we formed in 1999. Members - Aidan Casserly (vocals), Seán Barron (programming, keyboards, electronic percussion & backing vocals) & Lar Kiernan (keyboards). We create contemporary song and instrumental based electronic music, with a retro-electro edge. Our music is a combination of analogue and digital synthesized sound, mixed with powerful rhythms and overlaid with strong pop vocal melodies. In 2004 we had a number one in the US iTunes dance charts with a cover of "Theme To Halloween". We've composed music for films and adverts and in 2008 our song "Liquid Blue" featured in the film "The Viva Voce Virus". We're the first Irish band to ever work with an original member of Kraftwerk (Wolfgang Flur). In August 2008 we appeared live @ Retrofest in Scotland. Our new studio album "Audio Gothic", which will be released in North America in April 2009. European labels please contact us for licensing it in Europe.

Electroflex have been back in the studio following a break from gigging and recording with new track ‘Computer Virus’. This is the first of a series of new releases for 2009, and what better day to start on than Liz’s Birthday! ‘Computer Virus’ is a live favourite. Anyone forced to work with computers will know how evil they are and this track is Electroflex’s response to Kraftwerk’s ‘Its More Fun to Compute’. It is a bouncy number with a serious bassline, sing-along chorus and a selection of curious samples. The track will only be up on Myspace in full for a short time.
