Hi I am Dr. Mike Shapiro
from the Bronx,
NY. I like to call it Da Bronx. I am a Chiropractor/Author and an
Empowerment Aficionado. So what the heck is an empowerment
aficionado? I basically have a passion for empowerment. I love
learning about mindset, positive change, overcoming obstacles,
uplifting others, self-improvement, health, and the list goes on and
on. I will be telling you more about myself here in the near
future.
I describe myself
as a
street-smart boy from Da Bronx whose humor and rapport has created a
magnetic aura that enables me to get through to others. I was a Chief
Lifeguard at Orchard Beach in the Bronx, a teacher and dean of a high
school in East Harlem, NY and an Instructor at Life Chiropractic.
This just names a few of the paths I have walked this lifetime. I
taught Kundalini Yoga in the early 70's, owned a leather craft shop
and manufactured my own goods. I had a mail order nutritional
business and was fairly successful in network marketing for several
years.
I have also had
setbacks,
obstacles and stagnation. My favorite quote comes from Booker T.
Washington
"Success should be measured not so much by the position that one has attained in life as by the obstacles which one has overcome while trying to succeed."
That quote has had a
tremendous impact on my ability to pick myself up when I fall down
and sharing it has helped me empower others.
My newest creation
is:
"Don't Allow School To Interfere With Your Education."
The format for
now is an ebook.
How many of you had teachers
like this
in school that dis-empowered you? How many of you developed a
negative self-image or mental block to a subject because of the
experience? How many of you never explored a certain career because
of a negative experience? I have and my up and coming ebook
“Don't
Allow School To Interfere With Your Education” explores many
essentials for self-empowered education.
I tell my story.
You will laugh,
you will identify with some of my experiences, and you will learn a
few things. It is never too late to learn new things that will
empower you and your loved ones. My website will have lots of links
to all sorts of empowerment tools and products. Empower your
self-health-wealth. The EmpoweredNow Blog will be a place to share
comments and learn more. In an audio interview I heard the owner of
one of the best self help newsletters and websites states that there
is no magic potion or pill or product that does it all for us when it
comes to self-improvement. I wholeheartedly agree. The fact is there
is a lot out there and we need and respond to different things
according to our state at that particular time. Self-empowerment is
not an end, it is a constant journey.
Hopefully my
website and products
will serve to guide you toward the best of the best I have found in
self-improvement, health and wealth building. I look forward to
serving you in the near future.
It would
be a pleasure to
meet liked minded people who are interested or involved with
self-improvement products and online marketing. I am specifically
looking for those who have had a great deal of success who had little
or no education to write chapters for my next book. Anyone who has a
passion to help empower others. I would like to meet in person Jason
Okuma, Jim Rohn, Mike Litman, Stephen Pierce, David Riklan, Rosario
Dawson, Oprah, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Joel Olsteen, and Ellie Drake.
Dr. Mike Thank you for the add and the birthday wish. Of course I have stopped counting. I lead myself to believe if I don't count I don't get older. So far it's working for me.
"The principles of living greatly include the capacity to face trouble with courage, disappointment with cheerfulness, and trial with humility"- Thomas S. Monson
As Gandhi stepped aboard a train one day, one of his shoes slipped off and landed on the track. He was unable to retrieve it as the train was moving. To the amazement of his companions, Gandhi calmly took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first. Asked by a fellow passenger why he did so, Gandhi smiled. "The poor man who finds the shoes lying on the track," he replied, "will now have a pair he can use."
Best wishes ever and thank you for being my Friend,
