The material object of observation, the bicycle or rotisserie, can’t be right or wrong. Molecules are molecules. They don’t have any ethical codes to follow except those people give them. The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn’t any other test. If the machine produces tranquillity it’s right. If it disturbs you it’s wrong until either the machine or your mind is changed. The test of the machine’s always your own mind. There isn’t any other test.

DeWeese asks, "What if the machine is wrong and I feel peaceful about it?"

-Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

“And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.” -Friedrich Nietzsche

I’m currently making noise in Baltimore MD.

TEX: I performed at a Dylan tribute and did 3 tunes. Percy's song, God on our Side and a tune he recorded in 1962 but never released until 2006 a tune that he did not write, that was a old folk tune, by the name of DINKS song. yeah I know that was one of your show stopper melodies. But some one had to do it!! had a blast take care

The Craic Festival 2009 has invited FairplayCollective to play at this years Festival. All members will be playing in the round. The show is at The Mercury Lounge, March 14th at 8pm. This is the last night of the festival and Foy Vance is also on the bill. What more can I say, a great night for music and film, with the odd star thrown in. Come show your support.

Tex: damn good to hear from you today. I need yuo to e-mail me. very few don't know that it's a fact that when ever I wrote tunes I always bounced them off of you for support and ideas. I miss that feedback. So what the hell! Leroy and I are working on a new CD. It looks like we are going to have a large portion of our Charlotte music mafia gang particpating. Hope to get you in there somewhere even if we have to MP3. I am sure we can work it out.
Would like to do a rendition of one of your tunes perhaps?

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them.

Sell a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man how to fish, you ruin a wonderful business opportunity.

Revolutions are the locomotives of history.

Religion is the opium of the masses.

We should not say that one man's hour is worth another man's hour, but rather that one man during an hour is worth just as much as another man during an hour. Time is everything, man is nothing: he is at the most time's carcass.

Ninety eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hardworking, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then, we elected them.

Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.

Nationalism is a silly cock crowing on his own dunghill.

Hell, I never vote for anybody, I always vote against.

The end move in politics is always to pick up a gun.

If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal.

Ninety percent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation.

In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican.
