EMPYROS was formed in 2002 in Estonia. The band was inspired by heavy music, that could combine melodic and speed elements, as well as some aggressive drive. One of the guitarists, Roman (RZZomb), was gravitated in a Speed-Power direction, while AleksTR preferred more rigid Thrash, and
the Speed-Heavy-Thrash sound was obtained as a result. This is why the
songs don't belong to one certain style. In year 2007, a new bass
player and a drummer joined Empyros, replacing the members left in
2005, and the band started recording its first album "The Spectre of
Ballantre". Frequent member replacements were a delay. The album was
recorded at S.F.E.Records. It's has 8 tracks with social theme lyrics.
Currently the band is preparing and recording stuff for the next album
that will contain 9-10 songs, with a ballade probably.
