Emre Aydın was born on February 2nd, 1981 in Isparta, Turkey.
In 2002, his band “6. Cadde” that he started with Onur Ela joined the song
composition contest “Sing Your Song”. 6. Cadde took the first place in the
contest.
The following year 6. Cadde worked with the Turkish producer Haluk Kurosman and
came out with their album carrying the same name as the band. The album 6. Cadde
was a great success as an alternative rock album. After Onur Ela decided to end
his professional music career, emreaydın began his solo career. He webcasted his
song “Belki Bir Gün Özlersin” on the internet and got great attention and
support from the public.
Working with Haluk Kurosman, his first solo album “Afili Yalnızlık” was produced
in October 2006 under SONY BMG/GRGDN label. His first video for his title track
“Afili Yalnızlık” was directed and shot by Yon Thomas. The absance of emreaydın
in the video script in the title track, surprised the fans and it was a big
success. emreaydın’s lyrical and musical talent made his first album “Afili
Yalnızlık” a great success.
5 of the 10 songs in the album was solely written and composed by emreaydın. He
also included a cover of “Hareket Vakti” which was previously performed by Umay
Umay. A re-recorded version of“Git” from the album 6. Cadde was also included in
emreaydın’s first solo album.
The first three videos for the first album were for “Afili Yalnızlık”, “Kim
Dokunduysa Sana O’na Git”, and “Git”. After the first three videos that had the
parallel theme of “loneliness” two videos were shot, in order, for “Belki Bir
Gün Özlersin” and “Bu Kez Anladım”. The video “Belki Bir Gün Özlersin” was
directed by Gürcan Keltek and won the Altın Kelebek award for “Best Video of the
Year” in 2008. emreaydın’s 6th video was shot for “Dayan Yalnızlığım” and came
out in summer of 2008 and is still airing on TV stations.
Apart from his album, emreaydın worked with the rock band gripin in “Sensiz
İstanbul’a Düşmanım”. The song was one of the top songs on the billboards in
2007 and won the “Best Song of the Year” and “Best Duet of the Year” awards for
emreaydın and gripin.
In MTV’s anual “European Music Awards” contest in 2008 emreaydın took the first
place and was awarded the “Best Artist of the Year” in the Pop-Rock category in
the Turkey leg of the contest. In the second and the final leg of the contest
emreaydın competed in Liverpool against the winners of 21 other European
countries and brought home to Turkey the “2008 Europe’s Favourite Act” award.
emreaydın gave more than 130 concerts within the first year of his debut album
and more than 250 by the end of the second year. He was given more than 25
awards by many national educational institutions and production and publishing
companies, including “Best Rock Artist of the Year” and “Best New Artist of the
Year”
Currently emreaydın is working on his second album which is expected to come out
at the end of 2009. After the “loneliness” theme on his debut album, the artist
chose the theme “melancholy” for the songs that will take place on his new
album. The album is expected to feature a synthesis of eastern and western
sounds and is expected to be another great success for emreaydın.

Mavera adlı ilk albümümüzden sonra ikinci albümümüzü hazırladık. Kısa bir zaman zarfı içinde spacelerimizde yayınlanacaktır. Yine ilk albümde olduğu gibi altyapılarımızın büyük kısmı Ömer Oral tarafından hazırlandı ve kimi parçalarda canlı enstrümanlar kullanıldı. Özenle çalışarak, acele etmeden sindire sindire hazırladığımız "Dehliz" adlı ikinci albümümüzün kapağı; şu sıralar abimiz Enver Tosun tarafından hazırlanmaktadır. Takipte kalın :)
