I met D Boon (opened for REM in Winston, half the crowd booed them and made fun of his weight. Idiots). Wish I had met Jimi (if only I had been a "hip" 13 year old, maybe I could have).
But our main man Sam Moss met Jimi, backstage after a show in Raleigh. He said it was incredibly easy to get backstage - no security. He said Jimi was nice, shy and had amazing hands and fingers. Very long fingers. One of many "rap" sessions I had with Sam in his shop. Miss the man, that's for sure...
I got tickets to see the Avett Brothers at the end of the month (After I go check up on my "wedding date" in NYC) - made me think of you and how fun it was to meet you, Woodie, and everyone else last fall. Hope you are having a great summer
