A Better Year
YAY! It's 2009! I hope everyone had a safe new years. This year I want to increase my drawing abilites. I want to study at least a bit everyday. I want to conquer anatomy so that my illustrations can be more believable. I also want to improve myself as a father, husband and a christian. Oh yeah, losing a few pounds wouldn't hurt either.
X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE
I recently saw this trailer for the new Wolverine movie. I have to say that I am excited to see Marvel fix some story issues that Bryan Singer messed up. The direction of the film looks very fast from what I see. This trailer is packed with adrenaline that makes me believe even more that Bryan Singer shouldn't have ever directed XMEN. If you ever read ORIGIN then you would be stoked to see that this movie is keeping with Logans continuity. It would be cool to see Captain America in this film.
I was so impressed I had to change my banner in my MYSPACE website. So everyone please enjoy!
My sisters birthday!
Today is Ronda's Birthday. I just want to say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!". I love you and I hope that your birthday party goes without a hitch. I was thinking that I need to invest in a GPS tracker for you. It'll make it alot easier to find you when you go a running.
Giving my life to Jesus
I just want to say that I am trying hard to stand firm in my beliefs in Christ. Lately I been trying extra hard. I quit drinking and smoking. My wife would probably say that I'm doing that to lose weight, but the truth about those two are because of my salvation and loving Christ more than myself. It's been really tough. I'm so use to my bad habits, the urge to do them consumes me. Trying to straighten out your life is no easy task.
I've even began introducing Jesus in my childrens lives. They seem very interested. I'm happy to began teaching them. Now I'm trying to follow my own advice that I gave my kids and I'm going to concentrate on God more and actually talk about and not keep it hidden.
Will my friends walk away from me now? Will I lose clients for work? Will I be made fun of? The answer may be, YES. I sure hope that isn't the case. But some decisions are hard. Now is the time to act instead of being afraid.
