Encompass was formed in Alexandria, Virginia by four musicians of diverse musical and cultural backgrounds, coming together in March 2001. Despite several successful concerts and the gathering of a loyal following, the group disbanded later that year for what could euphemistically be termed "musical differences". In April of 2004, the band decided to reunite and use those musical differences synergistically to produce music that can best be described as “alternative prog rock.”
Encompass fuses many progressive elements in their hard rock sound with powerful melodies that captivates the listener. The sound of Encompass would be best described as if they were originally born in the early progressive rock era with Rush and Genesis as their respective guardians. Somewhere along the way they rebelled and strayed toward catchier melodies and a heavier sound which opened a new door to an audience that would never think of listening to anything “progressive.”
Combining technical proficiency with sonically charged dynamics and catchy melodies, Encompass can make 10 minute epics sound as if they are only 5, leaving the audience always yearning for more. Their unique sound has allowed them to share the stage with several metal bands such as Sonata Arctica, and Seven Witches, to the progressive rock giants Spock’s Beard, Symphony X, and Zero Hour. The lead guitar work of guitar/vocalist Farhad Hossain has also allowed the band to share the stage with guitar shred wizard Joe Stump. Encompass’ fan base grows day by day and their goal is to continue to play and spread their infectious brand of hard rock/metal to the world so everyone can headbang to the sound of their tune.

The music of Encompass is lush, melodic and at times incorporates the use of heavy guitar work that is somewhat prog-metal. However, their self titled CD is not exactly labeled as such and should not be. A very nice collection of songs with a vocalist who brings emotion to every lyric. If you like the heavier side of prog with melody and soaring guitar riffs, keyboards that lend beauty and fullness to the music and a drummer who can pound one moment then lend a delicate touch when needed; Then there's the bonus track for something completely different! I believe you will enjoy this album immensely!

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

On June 8, 1967, a date which will live in infamy, a United States ship, the USS Liberty, was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the State of Israel. Thirty-four American sailors died and 174 were wounded. There was no retaliation, no honest investigation, and no assistance from American forces. Israel got away with cold blooded murder.
On September 11, 2001, planes struck the two WTC towers, and shortly thereafter both towers fell. But did you know that a third large building also collapsed on September 11 at 5:20 in the afternoon and that this building, WTC 7, wasn't even hit by a plane? What could have caused such an unusual collapse, which had all the characteristics of a controlled demolition? Again, there has been no honest investigation.
