   EndBeachLitter's Blurbs
About me:
Each year 180 million people visit our nation’s oceans, gulf and inland beaches. Americans alone are reported to spend at least 10 days per year near coastal areas.

Coastal recreation and tourism are estimated to contribute over $640 billion annually to the U.S. economy (85% of all U.S. tourist revenues), and as consumers let’s face it we generate a lot of trash. Careless human litter on our beaches is a significant problem and as coastal populations rise and tourism increases it is guaranteed to only get worse.

Beach litter is not only extremely unsightly, but also plays a significant role in the degradation of our marine environment. Everyday items we take to the beach such as sun tan lotion bottles, Frisbees, canned and bottled beverages, batteries for portable music players, cigarettes, bags of chips, plastic cups, etc. once discarded in the water or left on the beach can release harmful chemicals into the environment causing damage to our fragile coastal ecosystems. Beaches provide a crucial habitat for many marine animals, and beaches often adjoin wetlands and sensitive coral reef systems which are recognized for their valuable ecological resources. In response to this emerging threat, EndBeachLitter.com has developed a series of powerful public messages and advertising to bring awareness. Now, so can you! Please take a look at our website www.EndBeachLitter.com and show your support for maintaining clean beaches and waterways. If you’re a scuba diver, surfer, boater, fisherman, or just an average beach enthusiast, we’ve made it simple for you to give your favorite beaches a voice.

Please be sure to visit www.EndBeachLitter.com to find other valuable resources, learn more about the problems caused by beach litter and how you can make a difference, but most importantly, take an active part in keeping our beaches clean -Because you can…

You know what would be cool...having some "End Beach Litter" canvas bags. The kind that people can use as a beach bag or to carry groceries in instead of plastic.
