Endemic - hip hop producer / ANR from Nottingham UK, working with US rap legends and UK / European artists, producing high quality projects and songs. Mid to late nineties sounds from New York, and more specifically the wu tang & boot camp clik groups, have strongly influenced Endemic’s style.
Endemic has produced for the likes of - ruste juxx, sean price, killah priest, ill bill, smif n Wesson, hell razah, torae, skyzoo, planet asia, supreme (boot camp clik), timbo king, bronze Nazareth, the wisemen, triple darkness, one click bang, leathafase, sav killz, killa sha, reek, darkim be allah, buddah monk, cappo, scorzayzee, iron braydz, c-mone, lee ramsay, letia larok, sima lee, masikah, 34 click (France) & many more.
March 2009 saw the release of his debut album “Terminal illness” a producer set featuring emcees such as Sean Price, Planet Asia, Hell Razah, Killah Priest and UK based artists C Mone, M9, & Triple Darkness, the album was singed by Money Maker / EMI music USA through DJ Phantom, aka Gustav Guerra, a hungry New York cat who was DJing and always on the look out for new talent to sign. Money Maker Records, which is co founded by Guerra and Michael Esterson and distributed by EMI came about out of necessity: “We wanted to bring back the hip hop sound and excellence of the old days,” says Guerra, who has put out records /managed artists such as Saigon, Tragedy Kadafi, Killa Sha, Large Pro, Method Man, among others. “Endemic is ridiculous,” he adds, “People don’t realize what they’re in for.”
The album was received very well by fans worldwide and Endemic received radio plays from the likes of DJ Premier, DJ Eclipse, Sarah Love and many more. It gained rave reviews from major publications and online sites across the world. Demic got flown out to New York by the label to undertake a promo tour for the album, performing in stores at the legendary Fat beats in Manhattan, and appearing on many big NYC radio stations such as the DJ Eclipse show at WNYU. There was also a release party at sutra nightclub in Manhattan where hip hop legends such as blahzay blahzay came through to support.
2009 continues to be a good year for Endemic, November 16th will see the release of the EP “needle Drop” – collaboration with Nottingham Veteran Cappo, via his own imprint “No Cure Records” Endemic continues his hard east coast style of production on “Needle Drop” and provides Cappo with perfect backdrops for his heavy rhyming style. Guest spots include Nottingham Legends Scorzayzee and Lee Ramsay and London’s talented Cyrus Malachi & Iron Braydz.
Further work is coming in the form of producing Ruste Juxx’s (of Boot Camp Clik) “Adamantine” album entirely which features artists such as – ill bill, smif n Wesson, torae, skyzoo, supreme and many more. With lethal beats and a strong business savvy, Endemic is certainly making big waves.
