Simple bases and incredible melodies are the marks of the End of Pipe, band of Florianópolis/SC – Brazil, formed on March 2006 by old friends who had always enjoyed sonorous tracks of surf and skate films.

Everything started when Uirá (voice/guitar) and Gabriel”Gabito”(guitar) decided to form a new band and invite Rafael ”Tanga” and Cristiano”Crast”, old friends of Uirá, to play the bass and drums, respectively. Soon in the first meeting it was easy to verify there was harmony among the 4 members. Since November 2007, the band has called another drummer, Adriano (Pingüim), to try going forward with new ideas and music influences.

The band all related approaches subjects that make people to stop and to reflect, about the problems the society in general is going through, as well as the situations of our day-by-day life.

The main influences that move its integrants are bands such as: Hot Water Music, Foo Fighters, Samiam, The Draft, Garage Fuzz, Social Distortion, The Sophomore Effort, Farside, Face to Face, among others. During the second month of existence, the band went up for the first time to stage, playing its own songs.

In the fourth month, the band entered to record four songs (Letters, End of Pipe, Different tastes, The Reason ) that will be part of the split “We are not enemies, but friends”, to be released by one of the biggest brasilian independent label called Enemy One Records, (the) split still will count on bands like The Radioactives (Germany), Phone Trio (Brazil), Rentokill (Austria), The Bank Robbers (U.S.A) and Showstripsilence (Italy). The Cd/split is going to be launched and distributed in 2008 in Europe, Brazil and U.S.A

Nowadays, the band is also working hard for the release of its own EP with 6 songs, which is planned to be available soon, during a tour together with one of the most important hardcore bands in Brazil, called Garage Fuzz, on May 2008.

Bases simples e melodias marcantes são as marcas registradas da End of Pipe, banda de Florianópolis/SC formada em marco de 2006 por velhos amigos que sempre curtiram as trilhas sonoras de filmes de surf e skate, suas principais inspirações.

Tudo começou quando Uirá (voz/guitarra) e Gabriel"Gabito"(guitarra) resolveram montar uma nova banda e chamaram Rafael"Tanga" e Cristiano"Crast", velhos amigos de Uirá, para tocar baixo e batera, respectivamente. Logo nos primeiros ensaios deu para perceber que havia uma “sintonia” entre os quatros integrantes. Desde Novembro de 2007 a banda chamou outro baterista, Adriano “Pingüim” para tentar seguir adiante com novas idéias e influências musicais.

Em suas letras, a banda procura abordar assuntos que façam as pessoas pararem e refletirem, seja com relação aos problemas que a sociedade em geral vêm passando, seja com relação às situações do nosso dia-a-dia de forma individual.

No segundo mês de existência, a banda subiu ao palco pela primeira vez, tocando suas próprias musicas.

Já no seu quarto mês de vida, a banda entrou em estúdio para a gravação de quatro musicas (Letters, End of Pipe, Different tastes, The Reason) que farão parte do split "We are not enemies, but friends", que será lançado por um dos maiores selos independentes do Brasil, a Enemy One Records. O split ainda contará com as bandas The Radioactives (Alemanha), Phone Trio (Brasil), Rentokill (Áustria), The Bank Robbers (EUA) e Showstripsilence (Itália). O cd/split será lançado em 2008 com distribuição na Europa, Brasil e EUA

Atualmente a banda também está trabalhando com determinação para o lançamento de seu próprio EP com 6 músicas via Undermusic Records, o qual está planejado para ser disponível em breve, durante a tour Don..t Think Twice com uma das mais importantes bandas brasileiras de punk rock/hc nacional o (Garage Fuzz), em maio de 2008. A banda segue em tour com 3 shows em setembro, divulgando seu EP "Don..t think twice" no Estado de São Paulo. A proposta da banda continua sendo a mesma, tocar o máximo possível, nos mais diferentes lugares e manter a integridade e a emoção em sua música com melodias marcantes.
