End of the Road Records are very happy to now have two fantastic bands in our stable - THE YOUNG REPUBLIC and WOODPIGEON! Please check them out, if you get a chance: www.myspace.com/theyoungrepublic www.myspace.com/woodpigeon
Here's the music video to one of The Young Republic's singles Modern Plays....Enjoy!
The intimate End of the Road festival caters for about 5,000 people, and our 4th year takes place between the 11-13th September 2009.
The Larmer Tree Gardens is about 2.5-3 hours drive from London, and falls on the border between North Dorset and Wiltshire, fairly close to Stonehenge. It's a beautiful venue with peacocks and huge parrots roaming / flying around freely both inside the gardens and in the field.
This is the kind of festival where the entire line-up is the headliner in itself!
There will be a stage inside the Gardens and a Big Top in the field, as well as one or two smaller stages, and after the live music finishes - there will be DJs in the Big Top til late, and/or lots of surprise impromptu sets around the site.
Who I'd like to meet: Festie goers wanting to celebrate the end of another great season!! Hopefully in the sunshine!!!
just got my tickets for this year !! carn't wait till summer now. i have been to lots of festivals but last year this one tops them all. keep it up eotr.
You guys have pretty much just made me cry. (Well yesterday actually).
FLEET FOXES!!!! This is so special to me. Thank you so much.
But also... i think you guys have already outdone yourselves from last year BIG TIME!!! To be able to see Alela Diane is amazing, i've fallen for her music in a big way recently and love it greatly. And i also love greatly The Tallest Man on Earth, The Mummers, The Dodos, plus Mumford and Sons, Archie Bronson Outfit, Dent May, The Low Anthem and loads more.
And its great to see someone as legendary as Mr Steve Earle himself too. I can't wait to see who else you guys have got coming this year. It already feels like just a really special thing just got a whole lot more special. You really put on a great event.
Take care.
ps, ive you can try to get The Avett Brothers and Langhorne Slim, that'd be awesome. ;) x
You people make me like the happiest person i've ever been with your line-ups!!!
To see Fleet Foxes would mean the world to me but to see Dirty Projectors too now!!!! That's amazing and far beyond what i ever thought i would get to see live some day!
Hello End of the Road Festival. This is our first headline London show for a very long time, to celebrate finishing our new album which will be out later this year. So come on down and have a good time with us.
...and of course don't forget London's Finest Folk Club, The next Lantern Society - Thursday 7th May at the Betsey Trotwood, Farringdon Rd, EC1R 3BL. Neartest tube Farringdon.
End of the Road seems to be the perfect festival for me! The line-up of 2008 was incredible, and the first confirmations for this year are very nice, too. Alela Diane, Peter Broderick, The Tallest Man On Earth - that's a great start! I hope I can make it to your festival this year, chances are good, but I'm not completely sure... Anyway, some modest wishes that I have are: The Gunshy The Deep Dark Woods Frontier Ruckus The Sumner Brothers Fire On Fire J. Tillman Balmorhea Fanfarlo
