Enemy Down was established in October of 2005 when guitarist Michael Danser, bassist Matt Bareis, and drummer Caleb Correa got together to play various instrumental rock songs. Michael Danser is a 6 year veteran of all types of guitar discipline. Caleb Correa is a 7 year veteran of percussion training. Matt Bareis is an energetic bassist of many years. Initial response was well received, but the group realized they would go nowhere without vocal talents. In pursuit of a hardened veteran singer, they instilled hope in future vocalist Jorge Rosales, who pointed the band in a new direction. The band originally slated the name Vampd, which was used for the first 8 months of gigging. Sudden inspiration occurred in the summer of 2006 to change the band’s name; thus, Enemy Down was officially born. James Killgo was also added in the summer of 2006 as a second guitarist, another solid player of the instrument. Matt Bareis was recently replaced by John Smith due to separate interests and conflicting schedules. John Smith is a talented bass player who has helped the band immensely in recent live performances. Enemy Down has quickly accumulated a small fan base, which continues to grow each day. Their concentrated effort in original song composition is a current and ongoing process.
